THE ARTIST

Deanna Scherrer is a jewelry artist living in Boise, Idaho. She received her degrees in Visual Arts with an emphasis in Metal Art and Art Education with an emphasis in Art History from Boise State University in 2016.

Deanna creates both one of a kind works as well as everyday wear. She is inspired by natural and architectural environments. Through adornment, Deanna investigates human interaction with environment as a means of identity formation. She works primarily with wood and metal to create works that elicit memories of place. 

Deanna has shown work nationally and continues her education through workshops. 

THE PROCESS

All Deanna Scherrer Jewelry is hand fabricated by Deanna Scherrer. Each piece is hand cut, formed, soldered, sanded, carved and inlaid. Using traditional metalsmithing and woodcarving techniques, Deanna creates one of a kind designs in her garage studio space with her trusty studio dog, Wilsen.
